VMWare fusion 3 bug with OS X Server 10.6 and i7

There is a problem installing VMWare Fusion 3.3 on a MacBook Prowith the i7 processor installing Mac OS X Server 10.6.2 and 10.6.3. You can install 10.6 but you cannot boot the server after upgrading to 10.6.x and it  is not possible to make a fresh install of 10.6.3 either. So at the moment I am stuck with Server 10.6 on my laptop, luckily it is only a test environment :-)

    Have you reported this to VMWare? What’s the bug number?

    I discussed it online on the VMWare forum, they tried to reproduce the error so they aware of the issue. Look at: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1526340#1526340
