Are QR codes the future?

I have just recently started to get interested in QR Codes. It seems to me that it could get quite useful, for everything from vcards, tickets, infomercials, and so on. I have implemented it on the website and will probably include it on my next businesscard. In Denmark I believe we still need some broader public awareness before it will breakthrough.
